New Champions Crowned At WWE NXT Great American Bash

After multiple cases of sending wrestlers to swim with the fishes and one stint in prison for Tony D'Angelo, The Family of Tony D and Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo enjoyed their first taste of gold in WWE, defeating Gallus' Mark Coffey and Wolfgang to capture the NXT Tag Team Championships at the Great American Bash on Sunday, July 30. 

Gallus' Joe Coffey tried to repeatedly interfere during the match to assist his faction-mates but The Family managed to survive Coffey's antics and eventually take him out with a crowbar shot. D'Angelo then used Stacks to wipe out Gallus on the floor before Big Tony connected with his Bada Bing finisher on Wolfgang to score the 1-2-3. 

The loss at Great American Bash ends Gallus' reign as NXT Tag Team Champions at 176 days. They won the belts in a Four-Way back at NXT Vengeance Day in February to dethrone the New Day and Gallus successfully defended the titles on six occasions against the likes of the Creed Brothers, The Dyad, and Pretty Deadly.
