October 10 WWE NXT Show Was "Most Successful" In Brand's History

NXT's stacked show was a massive success

NXT has had a big week, going head-to-head with AEW Dynamite and defeating the opposing brand on ratings for the first time since 2019.

In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer ran down the numbers of NXT from October 10th, detailing how it very much was the developmental brand’s most successful show in history. Considering NXT had competition from both AEW and MLB play-offs, they boasted some high ratings, bringing in their most viewers since the show’s debut - which came before AEW started in September 2019.

Additionally, NXT did its best 18-49 demo number since the head-to-heads between NXT and AEW began in 2019 too. Meltzer did note that these numbers come with a change in the number of homes who get certain stations, but either way it was still a night of massive positives and from a numbers perspective, the most successful NXT weekly event ever.

NXT saw many main roster names make an appearance, such as Cody Rhodes, LA Knight, The Judgment Day, John Cena, and Asuka, in addition to legend and Hall of Famer, The Undertaker.
