PAC Out Of Action, New Trios Champion Revealed

On AEW Dynamite this week, PAC suffered an injury in a match with Swerve Strickland, shouting out in pain after a Buckle Bomb, leading to a quick finish that saw Strickland win the bout. It was reported shortly after AEW Dynamite that PAC had left the event on crutches, though there was no update on the severity of his injury. 

Last night’s episode of AEW Collision confirmed that PAC’s injury was substantial enough to remove him as one of the AEW World Trios Champions - titles he held with The Death Riders’ Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta. On commentary, Tony Schiavone revealed that AEW World Champion Jon Moxley would be stepping in as interim champion, defending the titles on behalf of PAC alongside his Death Riders allies. 

The Death Riders will be putting their AEW World Trios Championships on the line next week on AEW Dynamite Spring Breakthru against The Opps faction of Samoa Joe, Hook and Katsuyori Shibata, on the episode of Dynamite that will mark the show’s surpassing of WCW Nitro as the longest run wrestling show on Turner Network.
