Pitch For William Regal To Have Full-Time WWE NXT TV Role Revealed

William Regal WWE NXT return in the works?

William Regal could be set to guide another faction.

Regal has been back with WWE since the beginning of 2023, having returned to the organisation as Vice President of Global Talent Development. Regal was prevented from appearing on WWE TV for his first year back with the company due to a stipulation as part of his AEW exit but the 56-year-old has since made a couple of appearances in NXT.

Regal first popped up in January 2024 to congratulate Ava on her appointment as NXT General Manager before he returned to Tuesday nights to tell No Quarter Catch Crew he would be keeping his eyes on the stable as they defend the NXT Heritage Cup. NQCC have since lost the cup to Tony D'Angelo.

Regal was added back to the active WWE roster in March and there have been pitches for Regal to have a more permanent role on TV. According to Fightful Select, one pitch would see Regal have a mentor role for No Quarter Catch Crew. Charlie Dempsey, Regal's real-life son, is one of the key figures in the faction and he did tease that the group needed structure.

Regal has guided a faction on TV in recent years when he was part of All Elite Wrestling, helping to establish Blackpool Combat Club. The stable now consists of Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta.
