PWG Announces Mystery Vortex 7

The cult indie promotion is set to return on August 1

Earlier in June there were rumblings that cult indie promotion Pro Wrestling Guerilla were gearing up for a live return, with a tentative date of August 1 2021 being touted after their last show took place in December 2019.

Now, PWG have indeed confirmed their return, with Mystery Vortex 7 set for PWG’s home base The Globe Theatre in LA on August 1.

For the uninitiated, the Mystery Vortex shows are just that; a mystery. No matches or talents are announced beforehand, with fans not knowing who is set to wrestle until they come to the ring.

Since The Makings of a Varsity Athlete event in 2019, PWG were set to run an event titled ‘KOBE’ in March 2020, but it was ultimately cancelled due to Covid-19. Since that last show, PWG World Tag Champions The Rascalz left the independent scene to join WWE NXT, where they now wrestle under the MSK moniker. PWG are yet to address the status of the tag titles.
