Report: Bryan Danielson's AEW Backstage Influence Continues To Grow

Bryan Danielson has growing influence in AEW

Tony Khan recently extolled the importance of Bryan Danielson to All Elite Wrestling, stating he’d want ‘The American Dragon’ to take over if Khan were ever ‘hit by a bus’.

Long regarded as one of the greatest pro wrestlers of all time, Danielson has also proven to be an important figure backstage in AEW, with reports earlier this year revealing that Danielson was having greater creative input into the product, whilst acting as one of the locker-room leaders.

A new report from PWInsider states that Danielson’s backstage influence is indeed growing, as especially over the past six weeks, Danielson has seemingly taken on greater responsibilities in the company, especially with regards to facilitating between talents.

Danielson has spent the last two months on the injured list, after breaking his forearm in a hard-hitting match with Kazuchika Okada at Forbidden Door 2023 in June. Danielson returned to in-ring competition at All Out on September 3, beating Ricky Starks in a bloody and brutal strap match.
