All Elite Wrestling's future in professional wrestling is secure and the promotion are reportedly set to announce a new TV deal with Warner Bros. Discovery along with the reveal of a new Saturday night show, Collision. The new series will reportedly debut on June 17 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. It is believed the debut episode will feature CM Punk's return, another major return or debut, and a marquee match.

Speculation online had suggested AEW were able to secure a deal for Collision because CM Punk is returning to AEW and there are plans for him to be the star of Collision. That reportedly isn't the case, though, and Dave Meltzer stated in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Collision would have been put on TV with or without CM Punk, although AEW's TV partner Warner Bros. Discovery "absolutely wanted" the 44-year-old back.

Previous reports have noted that WBD are "very involved" in CM Punk's upcoming return and they are appreciative of him coming back as he will draw the network ratings.

Who CM Punk will feud with upon his AEW return is less clear. It appeared the two-time AEW World Champion would enter a programme with Chris Jericho but Punk has reportedly been pushing to face Samoa Joe in his first match back instead.
