Dakota Kai is close to making her return to WWE programming following a few weeks out of action due to injury.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that Kai is "on the cusp" of making a comeback and the hope within WWE is she will be back on TV within the next few weeks. One person within WWE believes the former WWE Women's Tag Team Champion will be back on the company's programming by the end of February, if not sooner.

Kai has been out of action since suffering a concussion on the January 20 episode of Monday Night Raw. The 36-year-old suffered the injury following a springboard missile dropkick from Zoey Stark which rocked Kai during a Damage CTRL vs. Pure Fusion Collective tag team match.

Kai has suffered from injury issues in recent years, including spending 10 months on the shelf from May 2023 until March 2024 with a torn ACL. Kai was then injured again from July until November 2024 with a torn meniscus.

Multiple WWE talents have suffered injuries in recent weeks. JD McDonagh sustained broken ribs and a collapsed lung on Monday Night Raw, while Apollo Crews recently underwent surgery to repair a torn pec which he suffered on SmackDown.
