Report: Further Update On When Kairi Sane Will Return To WWE

Latest on Kairi Sane to WWE

In the latest update on Kairi Sane (AKA KAIRI), the Pirate Princess has announced she will be going on an "indefinite hiatus" at the end of September.

Sane said in a press conference (translated by Eastern Lariat): "I have made a decision. I can't say it clearly, but in preparation for a new voyage, a voyage of determination, I would like to put my activities on indefinite hiatus as of the end of September 2023. Rest assured that this is a positive decision. Lastly, I would like to thank President Rossy Ogawa for not giving up on me, who was said to have no talent, everyone at Stardom who supported me, wrestlers from other organisations, the media and the fans who have always supported me. Thank you very much."

It emerged ahead of SummerSlam that Sane had agreed to return to WWE, with reports later noting that her return could take place in November 2023

KAIRI still has dates to fulfil in Japan, including for All-Japan Pro-Wrestling on September 8. She has competed for the likes of New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Stardom since departing WWE in December 2021 and she became the inaugural IWGP Women's Champion, later dropping the belt to Mercedes Moné.

During her first run in WWE from 2017 until December 2021, Sane became a one-time NXT Women's Champion and one-time WWE Women's Tag Team Champion.
