Report: Improved WWE Morale Following SmackDown

Backstage Morale Has Reportedly Improved Following SmackDown

Following a Monday Night Raw which saw Vince McMahon in gorilla position, issuing rewrites and changing the show on the fly, there was a feeling of things going back to how they used to be before the positive change in which Triple H took over creatively control.

SmackDown was set to be a big indication of where WWE was on the creative front. Vince McMahon reportedly ran the show from a remote position, but without being in the arena itself, he only made “minor changes” to the script. The show flowed more freely with better storyline focus and longer matches this past week, which has led to a positive backstage reaction, per a report from Fightful Select, which states;

“The morale was significantly improved Friday without Vince McMahon, but a lot of it is a ‘we'll see what happens’ approach.”

It will certainly be something which is assessed week by week in terms of how much of a role McMahon has in the overall booking of WWE programming.
