Report: Kenny Omega To Make AEW Return By Worlds End

The battle cry will soon be heard in All Elite Wrestling once more, with Kenny Omega set to make his imminent return to the company.

A vignette hyping Omega’s return aired on the December 18 episode of AEW Dynamite Holiday Bash, and a report from Fightful Select suggests that Omega could be in the frame to make his AEW return by Worlds End on December 28.

Omega has been out for all of 2024 battling diverticulitis, but recently returned to New Japan Pro-Wrestling to set up a match with Bullet Club War Dog Gabe Kidd at Wrestle Dynasty on January 5. Omega returning to NJPW before AEW was apparently done as a symbol of goodwill from AEW to NJPW, and had Tony Khan’s blessing.

As for Worlds End, there’s no word on what capacity Omega could appear on the show. Omega’s last AEW pay-per-view match was a tag team victory with Golden Jets partner Chris Jericho against The Young Bucks. Omega last appeared on AEW TV in May 2024, giving an update on his health before being attacked by former allies The Elite.
