Report: Matt Cardona "Done" With IMPACT Wrestling

Matt Cardona is reportedly finished with IMPACT Wrestling for now

Matt Cardona has been competing in IMPACT Wrestling for two years, after having first appeared back in 2021. However, it seems like his time with the promotion is now done, at least for the time being.

A report on Fightful Select has revealed that after Cardona had been working on a handshake agreement, a failure to agree to a deal on a contract has led to Cardona parting ways with the promotion.

“Fightful has learned that Cardona is finished with IMPACT Wrestling for the time being. Cardona had worked with IMPACT for over two years without a contract, and the company was hopeful to ink him to a deal that would guarantee dates. While Cardona was happy with the idea of maintaining the agreed upon dates, but preferred to do it on the same handshake deal they’d had prior. However, that wasn’t made an option.”

The report went on to say how IMPACT has been more inclined to getting talent to sign deals. There was reportedly no bad blood between the two sides, with each being open to working together in the future. Cardona would win the IMPACT Digital Media Championship during his time with the company.
