Report: Meeting Planned Between CM Punk, Chris Jericho, And Others

A meeting between CM Punk, Chris Jericho, and more is reportedly in the works

The tensions backstage in AEW regarding CM Punk have been dominating reports recently, but more and more is still emerging about the progress or lack of progress being made when it comes to a potential CM Punk return to the company.

Chris Jericho allegedly had called CM Punk a “cancer” back when Brawl Out took place, and Punk recently called Jericho out for being a “stooge”, but reports indicate that a meeting could be had between the pair to see if things can be rectified. Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer revealed that this was set to take place;

“There is a meeting soon and involves Chris Jericho, Tony Khan, CM Punk, FTR, and there may be others in there as well. That’s coming up. I guess the idea is to resolve everything or attempt to resolve everything. It’s going to be interesting. Tony Khan wants Punk back, to be the star of the Saturday show and it’s probably…I’m pretty sure it’s going to happen.”

The Elite not being mentioned is a notable thing to point out, though it was reported over the last week that Punk was open to working with them in AEW despite all the issues in the past.
