Report: Nick Aldis Yet To Officially Sign With IMPACT Wrestling

No IMPACT Wrestling deal for Nick Aldis

One of IMPACT Wrestling's newest signings is currently working in the promotion without a contract.

According to PWInsider Elite, Nick Aldis has yet to officially sign with IMPACT Wrestling but the two sides have come to terms on a short-term verbal agreement. Aldis will be presented as a top star in the promotion and he will be featured near the top of the card as IMPACT build towards an eventual IMPACT World Title match between Aldis and Steve Maclin.

PWInsider speculated the match could take place at July's Slammiversary pay-per-view but that has not been officially confirmed.

Aldis returned to IMPACT at the Rebellion pay-per-view on Sunday, April 16, confronting Maclin following his IMPACT World Title win over KUSHIDA. The National Treasure had been the National Wrestling Alliance's top star over the past several years, reigning as the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion for 1309 days across two title runs, but he left the company at the end of 2022 following a bitter fallout with Billy Corgan.

Reports have noted that WWE were interested in signing Aldis before he agreed to join IMPACT but the 36-year-old was told a hiring freeze was in place due to corporate moves within WWE.
