Report: Roman Reigns' WWE Creative Unchanged Despite Injury

No WWE plans changing for Roman Reigns

While Roman Reigns was "hurt" at SummerSlam, WWE's plans for the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion aren't expected to change.

It emerged following the August 5 pay-per-view that Roman Reigns sustained an injury early in the main event of SummerSlam. The nature of Reigns' injury is unknown, however.

In an update, Fightful Select confirmed that Roman Reigns did get hurt at SummerSlam. The Tribal Chief is still planned for Friday Night SmackDown this week, having been announced for a 'Hail to the Chief' segment with Jimmy Uso. Jimmy turned on Jey Uso at SummerSlam, helping Reigns retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Title in the process. There aren't any plans for Reigns to miss any of his internally scheduled appearances, although that could always change.

Furthermore, some who would likely be in the know hadn't heard about Reigns' injury until news broke on Tuesday. As of yesterday afternoon, the injury hadn't altered Reigns' creative.

Roman Reigns isn't advertised for any WWE pay-per-views for the next few months, which has fuelled speculation that WWE will keep the Undisputed WWE Universal Title on their top star even if he has a longer-term injury.
