Report: Ryan Nemeth Sent Home From AEW Collision For Not Saying Hello To CM Punk

Got to say hello to CM Punk at AEW Collision

You better greet CM Punk if you're going to be on AEW Collision.

It emerged this week that Ryan Nemeth had been sent home from a recent edition of AEW Collision, with CM Punk reportedly blocking him from being at the show to the point that Punk didn't even want Nemeth to be at catering.

PWInsider Elite has reported that Nemeth was booked for the August 12 edition of AEW Collision but he drew the ire of Punk, one talent believes, after Nemeth said hello to everyone at the hotel before the taping but he did not stop and say hello to CM Punk and others the two-time AEW World Champion was with. The actions of Nemeth were perceived as him blowing off Punk and his group and the talent stated they could see how "Nemeth acting that way would set off Punk, given what he's tried to set in the Collision locker room."

AEW Vice President Pat Buck sent Nemeth home on Saturday, telling him he would be working on Wednesdays instead. Initial issues between Ryan Nemeth and CM Punk began in June after Nemeth tweeted about Punk's return promo. This prompted Punk to "angrily and aggressively" confront Nemeth at the June 21 taping of AEW Dynamite, with both men eventually shaking hands after an argument.

Punk held a locker room meeting about trying to keep Collision as drama free as possible and Nemeth's presence on Collision would have been seen as flying in the face of that due to his past criticism of the 44-year-old.
