Report: Triple H Assisting Backstage At WWE SmackDown

The Game has been helping out on the blue brand

Since moving away from his role as an active Superstar, Triple H has become heavily involved backstage as the head of NXT and he puts together the black and gold brand's shows with the likes of Shawn Michaels and 'Road Dogg' Brian James.

Alongside his NXT duties, Triple H has reportedly enjoyed increasing influence over Friday Night SmackDown.

A report from Ringside News which has been confirmed by Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer noted Bruce Prichard and Vice President, Creative Writing Ed Koskey were absent from last week's SmackDown, as were two other writers. Triple H was backstage at the Yuengling Center to help run the show and Dave Kapoor was brought up from NXT to assist as well.

A source told Ringside News that The Cerebral Assasin's visits to Smackdown are "now becoming a weekly thing" and he has been assisting with particular parts of the show "discreetly." There has been praise for Triple H's assistance as it was also noted that "it looks like he's helping a lot."

Meltzer reported Bruce Prichard was on holiday, which is why he was absent from the May 7 show. There is no word on why Ed Koskey wasn't backstage.
