Report: WWE Filming Movie Parody Promos For WrestleMania 39

WWE reportedly filming Hollywood skits for WrestleMania 39

WWE are returning to Hollywood for WrestleMania 39, hosting the first Mania in Tinseltown since WrestleMania 21.

For Mania 21, WWE produced several fondly remembered skits featuring the WWE stars of the day recreating famous Hollywood movies, and a new report from WrestleVotes suggests WWE are planning on revisiting the concept for Mania 39.

The report suggests that new movie parody promos are in the works, with The Miz, Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, The Brawling Brutes, and The Street Profits expected to be involved.

As for what movies could be spoofed, that remains to be seen, and we’d imagine that more talents will be considered for spots should WWE go ahead with the plan.

For WrestleMania 21, WWE produced parodies of nine classic movies, with John Cena and JBL lampooning A Few Good Men, Undertaker as Dirty Harry, Booker T and Eddie Guerrero as Jules and Vincent in Pulp Fiction, Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Christian, and Stacey Kiebler in Basic Instinct, Triple H and Ric Flair parodying Braveheart, William Regal and Eugene as Forrest Gump, Kurt Angle and Christy Hemme doing the diner scene from When Harry Met Sally, various stars doing the mirror scene from Taxi Driver, and Stone Cold Steve Austin as Gladiator.
