Report: WWE High On NXT Tag Team Ahead Of Possible Main Roster Debuts

WWE reportedly have high hopes for NXT tag team ahead of a potential main roster call-up

For all it is positioned as WWE’s third brand, the main aim of NXT is still to nurture the talent of tomorrow, getting acts established and used to the WWE style before eventually getting called up to either Raw or SmackDown.

It seems as though a main roster call-up could be in the works for an NXT tag team, with a report from Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio stating that WWE are ‘very high’ on The Creed Brothers:

“They’re very, very high on Julius, and to a degree Brutus as well. But Julius very much so,” said Meltzer.

WWE pre-recorded the most recent edition of NXT due to the episode airing on July 4 - the Independence Day national holiday - and taping spoilers revealed that The Creeds lost a Loser Leaves Town Match to The Dyad as part of the tapings, surely indicating that a main roster call-up is imminent.

Julius Creed was signed by WWE in October 2020, with Brutus following in February 2021. The brothers are former one-time NXT Tag Team Champions, and were the winners of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament in 2022.
