WWE NXT Spoilers For July 4 Episode

With next week's edition of NXT falling on Independence Day in the United States, WWE opted to tape the July 4 episode of NXT earlier this week at the WWE Performance Center. 

The show looks set to be a high-profile episode with a Loser Leaves Town Match and the return of Raw Underground. Check out everything that happened at the WWE NXT taping below.

In a moment that could have main roster implications, the Creed Brothers were defeated by The Dyad in their Loser Leaves Town Match, with Julius Creed eating the pin following interference from a figure in a red hood while the referee was distracted. This allowed Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler to connect with their finisher to score the victory. 

Gable Steveson also paid dividends for Eddy Thorpe in the main event as the former NJPW talent defeated Damon Kemp in their Raw Underground Match by referee stoppage. The match took place without ropes or turnbuckles and the contest could only be won by referee stoppage, knockout, or submission. Steveson celebrated with Thorpe after the match and a few of the wrestlers who were at ringside tried to attack the Olympic gold medallist, but he laid them out to end the show standing tall. 

Roxanne Perez was unable to exact revenge on Blair Davenport in the opening contest, while Mustafa Ali defeated Tyler Bate to continue his run on NXT. Dana Brooke was also present on the Tuesday night show as she was ringside for Kelani Jordan's win over Tatum Paxley. Brooke's programme with Cora Jade looks set to continue as she cut a promo on Brooke and Jordan following the match. 

Elsewhere on NXT, Lyra Valkyria defeated Jacy Jayne before the former NXT Women's Tag Team Champion attacked her after the match, and Von Wagner powerbombed Javier Bernal through the announce table after Bernal insulted the second-generation wrestler. A Bron Breakker promo was also interrupted by Ilja Dragunov which ended in a brawl being broken up by referees and wrestlers.

• Ilja Dragunov interrupted a Bron Breakker promo which led to a pull-apart brawl.
