Gary Cassidy of Sportskeeda has reported that EVOLVE wrestler "Retro" Anthony Greene has signed a contract with WWE, and that other EVOLVE talents will likely be doing the same soon.

Cassidy wrote, "I've been told "Retro" Anthony Greene has signed an NXT contract with WWE, with many more EVOLVE talents expected to follow." Cassidy also claims that Curt Stallion is heavily rumored to sign, but that isn't a done deal.

The news comes on the heels of EVOLVE performer Leon Ruff signing with WWE as well.

An eight-year pro, Greene began wrestling for EVOLVE in 2018, where matches with the likes of Stallion, Josh Briggs, and others demonstrated his considerable potential.

Other promotions where Greene has thrived include New England based companies such as Beyond Wrestling, Limitless Wrestling, and Chaotic Wrestling, as well as the New Jersey-based Combat Zone Wrestling, where he was briefly the promotion's champion in 2019.

During the pandemic, Greene wrestled in matches for Limitless, as well as in Synergy Pro's Garden State Invitational last week.

WWE officially purchased EVOLVE on July 2 of this year.
