Rey Mysterio Beats Dominik Mysterio To Celebrate Father's Day
Rey Mysterio defeated Dominik Mysterio in a Father's Day Street Fight over the weekend
Most sons usually get their dad a present for Father's Day but such are the issues between Rey and Dominik Mysterio that father and son went one-on-one in a Father's Day Street Fight on Sunday, June 18.
The match took place at a WWE live event in Charleston, West Virginia and saw Rey Mysterio defeat his son to give himself a Father's Day present. Rey also ended up beating Dominik in the match, whipping his son's bum with a belt while Dominik was bent over a steel chair. The fans in attendance loudly cheered the violence.
Mysterio, of course, has a history of beating Dominik, having said on Twitter back in 2012 that he couldn't wait to "beat his kids" on the latest WWE video game. The father and son also recently feuded on WWE TV for several months until April 2023 when Rey defeated Dominik on night one of WrestleMania 39.
Outside of Backlash one month later, Rey and Dominik have largely been kept apart since WrestleMania.
