Ric Flair Slams WWE Over Recent Firing

Ric Flair branded recent WWE firing 'the worst professional move' he's ever seen.

Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has hit out at the company for its decision to let a long-serving executive go.

Steve Rubin, who served as Senior Director, TV Event Relations, is one of a number of tenured employees who have recently been fired. He had been with the company for 26 years, having worked his way up the ladder from production assistant.

The Nature Boy took to social media to make his thoughts on the matter clear, writing:

"This Is The Worst Professional Move I've Ever Seen In My Entire Life To Let Go Of A Man Who Was So Generous And Good, Who Accommodated Everyone Including Me And My Family, And My World Of Friends. God Bless You Steve Rubin! I'm So Sorry!".

It has certainly been an interesting time for Flair of late.

The 75-year-old was kicked out of a pizza restaurant last week after getting into an altercation with the restaurant manager. Footage of Flair arguing with the manager was widely shared online.

He initially said he was considering a lawsuit over the incident - during which he was branded a 'peeping Tom' - but later apologised for getting upset (while denying that he was drunk at the time).
