Ricky Starks is set to compete in his first match since May later tonight against Kody Lane in Glory Pro Wrestling, but prior to that he took a trip to the Game Changer Wrestling event ‘Dream On’ at the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Starks interrupted a promo by Jimmy Lloyd, who proceeded to run down Starks and teased him that he should be ‘in catering’ down the road (The Prudential Center, where AEW Full Gear 2024 took place). After dishing out a DDT, Starks took to the mic and aired his frustrations about not being used in AEW.

“I think everyone wants a statement from Ricky Starks, huh? Well, the statement is I’m standing right here in the middle of a GCW ring. Passion runs through my blood, and I will be damned if I sit at home and I get frozen out. I’ll be damned if I sit at home and let my career dwindle. I am 34 years old. I’m healthy. I am goddamn good looking, and most importantly, I am a generational superstar. I’m going to come back to where I came from in the very beginning. And why not start in one of the hottest promotions right now, GCW?”

It was reported this week that Ricky Starks and AEW were not in direct communication as of late, despite news of his contract not being up any time soon. However, a report from Fightful Select revealed that Ricky Starks was backstage at last night’s AEW Full Gear PPV, suggesting that there could now finally be some form of communication.
