Ronda Rousey Makes SHOCK Pro Wrestling Return

Ronda Rousey back in pro wrestling?!

Ronda Rousey's retirement from pro wrestling lasted about as long as one of Terry Funk's.

Rousey departed WWE following SummerSlam 2023, with it being noted following the show that she was gone from the company. The UFC Hall of Famer then announced she was enjoying retirement, signalling she was done for good inside the squared circle and the octagon.

That didn't turn out to be true, though, as Rousey made her shock pro wrestling return at a Lucha VaVOOM event on Thursday, October 27 in Los Angeles, California. After making the save for longtime friend Marina Shafir, the two Horsewomen of MMA teamed together in an impromptu match against Taya Valkyrie and Brian Kendrick.

The match went five minutes and Rousey picked up the win for her team after forcing Kendrick to submit to an Ankle Lock.

Rousey has posted the full match to her Instagram account with the following caption: "@luchavavoom was honestly the best Lucha/burlesque hybrid show I've ever had the pleasure of jumping into unannounced. Anyone who doubted me and @marinashafir could make magic in a ring is an idiot - thank you @thetayavalkyrie and @mr.briankendrick for being down to get down with us."

If Rousey is planning to wrestle more following the Lucha VaVOOM match is currently unknown.
