The retirement match of hardcore wrestling legend Sabu will go ahead as scheduled, after it was feared that it may have to be postponed.

At this past weekend's GCW The Coldest Winter 3 event, there was an angle to build to the match between Sabu and Joey Janela at Joey Janela's Spring Break 9 (on April 8).

Janela was set to present Sabu with his Indie Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame plaque at the the show, when he claimed that the former ECW Heavyweight Champion was nowhere to be found (similar to how Sabu no-showed his induction ceremony last year) and that the Sabu who loved the fans was 'dead'.

However, Sabu did emerge and used his Hall of Fame plaque, as well as some skewers, to bust the 'Bad Boy' open. Following the angle, Janela said he would see Sabu at Spring Break, seemingly confirming that the match will happen despite Janela having underwent surgery to repair a torn bicep last month.

WWE star Cora Jade was also in attendance at The Coldest Winter 3, watching on as TNA's Masha Slamovich defeated Super Crazy in a Juggalo Championship Wrestling Title match.
