Sami Callihan Returns At IMPACT Under Siege

Sami Callihan is back in IMPACT

After several months out of action, Sami Callihan returned to IMPACT Wrestling at the promotion's Under Siege special on Saturday, May 7.

Callihan's return came about after Moose walked to the squared circle ahead of the main event and made excuses for his recent loss to Josh Alexander in their IMPACT World Title rematch. The Wrestling God then said he was going to hijack the show until Scott D'Amore came to the ring.

Moose didn't get D'Amore, though, as the lights suddenly went out in the arena and when they came back on, Callihan was stood opposite his former rival, wielding a baseball bat. Laughing maniacally, The Death Machine then decked the former IMPACT World Champion with the bat before he left him lying following a Cactus Driver 97.

Callihan had been away from IMPACT since he suffered a broken ankle, as well as broken fibula and tibia bones, during a September 2021 TV taping. The Death Machine was teaming with Eddie Edwards at the time in a programme against Moose and W. Morrissey and Moose ultimately took responsibility in storyline for Sami's injury.

Callihan has been with IMPACT since November 2017 and he is a former IMPACT World Champion, having held the gold for 79 days in late 2019 and early 2020.
