Scrapped Names For Judgement Day Revealed

Interesting names pitched before they settled on Judgement Day

While they ultimately settled on 'Judgement Day', Damian Priest revealed to TV Insider that other names were pitched for the faction that was originally composed of him, Edge, and Rhea Ripley.

"We had a few ideas. Edge refers to many of them in his promos because we liked all the names. The Judgement seemed like what we are doing, which is judging. Grand Jury was one of them. The Saints of Fate; but ultimately, The Judgement Day felt right. It also used to be a pay-per-view, so it's a throwback as well. We liked it a lot. I'm glad it worked out," Priest said before Hell In A Cell.

Damian Priest and Edge were the original members of the stable, joining forces at WrestleMania 38 when The Archer Of Infamy helped Edge defeat AJ Styles. Rhea Ripley then became the third member of the group at WrestleMania Backlash when she helped Edge pick up another win over Styles.

Judgement Day has since undergone a shift, though, and Finn Balor joined the group on Monday's episode of Raw before The Prince, Damian Priest, and Rhea Ripley kicked Edge out of the faction, claiming he was holding them back. In reality, Edge was reportedly opposed to WWE's plans to take the faction in a supernatural direction.
