Seth Rollins Pitches For Cody Rhodes To Challenge Him At WWE WrestleMania 40

Seth Rollins pleads for Cody Rhodes to choose him for WWE WrestleMania 40

Might Cody Rhodes shockingly choose Seth Rollins as his WWE WrestleMania 40 opponent?

That is certainly what the World Heavyweight Champion wants as Rollins interrupted Rhodes on the January 29 episode of Monday Night Raw just as Cody was about to make him challenging Roman Reigns at WrestleMania official. Rollins then proceeded to argue that he was "the guy" in WWE and the World Heavyweight Title was on the same level as the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship held by Roman Reigns.

As the crowd showed their disinterest in seeing Rhodes vs. Rollins at WrestleMania 40, Seth continued his campaign, claiming that Reigns held the Hollywood Hulk Hogan title as the belt for people who politic their way to the top, while the World Heavyweight Championship is the Dusty Rhodes belt for hard workers who want to prove they are the very best.

Rhodes, looking stunned, admitted to Rollins that he was surprised by the World Heavyweight Champion's plea and admitted he will consider challenging Seth at WrestleMania.

Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns II at WrestleMania 40 looked to be nailed on, especially after Cody pointed directly at WWE's top star following his Royal Rumble win on Saturday night. If WWE have changed their plans is currently unknown, however, as Rollins was internally scheduled to face CM Punk at WrestleMania. That match is now off, however, after Punk sustained a torn triceps at the Royal Rumble
