Sol Ruca Undergoes Surgery On Torn ACL

Sol Ruca has had surgery to repair her torn ACL

WWE NXT star Sol Ruca has had surgery to repair her torn ACL.

Last week it was reported that Ruca had suffered a suspected torn ACL, news that was seemingly confirmed yesterday when Sol herself posted a video to her Instagram account accompanied by the caption: "Who needs an acl anyways…jk I do, surgery day baby let's go".

Ruca's last televised outing was a loss to Tiffany Stratton on the April 11 episode of NXT. Her most recent match came three days later at an NXT live event, where she teamed with Dani Palmer to take on Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson.

Following news of Sol's injury - the latest in a long line of ACL tears suffered by female NXT performers - it emerged that Performance Center training (particularly heavy lifting) was being blamed for the increase of them.

WWE wrote Ruca off television with a video posted by NXT Anonymous of her being attacked in the PC parking lot.

At this stage, it is unclear how long Sol will be on the sidelines, though it is unlikely we will see her in the ring before the end of the year.
