Ted DiBiase Calls Welfare Fraud Scandal 'Garbage', Claims His Family Is Being Scapegoated

A witch-hunt for the Million Dollar Men?

WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase has commented on the charges levelled against his family for their alleged part in a wide-ranging welfare scandal.

The family - including Ted's sons Ted DiBiase Jr. and Brett DiBiase - have been accused of stealing millions of dollars in funding intended for low-income individuals and needy families in the state of Mississippi.

Ted Jr. faces up to 45 years in prison and a million-dollar fine if convicted. His trial was recently delayed

Speaking with News 4 Jacksonville, The Million Dollar Man claimed that his family are being scapegoated because of their famous name.

"We're doing good. All of that, it is a bunch of garbage. I'm not at liberty to talk about it but it's kind of like they're looking for a scapegoat and we're caught in the middle of it. If I didn't have a celebrity name, they wouldn't be looking at me," he said.

Currently signed to a WWE Legends Deal, the 69-year-old recently revealed he has 'severe brain trauma'.
