There are tons of matches that could all credibly claim to be the most important in history, and is a debate that will rage on until the end of time.
And now The Rock himself has thrown his selection into the mix.
Responding to a Tweet put out by @WWEonFox, The Great One had a firm answer:
“Hogan vs Sheik. NYC. Garden. 1984. (seminal match with historic implications and a legit bounty thrown in the mix)”
The match of course saw Hulk Hogan claim his first WWE Championship and ushered in the Rock & Wrestling boom period of the 80s and early 90s, and is definitely a worthy contender for most important match in WWE history.
