The Rock Vs. Roman Reigns Teased On Several Platforms

Could these teases be foreshadowing next year's WrestleMania main event?

A potential dream bout between Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Roman Reigns has been teased on various platforms of late.

On Tuesday night's episode of the NBC comedy series Young Rock, a young Joe Anoa'i (Reigns) is seen watching the 1996 Royal Rumble with The Great One, as well as The Rock's parents, grandparents, The Iron Sheik and the Wild Samoans.

At one point, the future Tribal Chief says 'acknowledge me'. He then tries to put his second cousin in a headlock while saying 'Come on, Dewey, let's wrestle!', to which Johnson replies 'No, the world is not ready! A match that big can only happen at WrestleMania'.

The episode of WWE Evil spotlighting Reigns also heavily teased a future match between him and The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment. The episode ended with several talking heads (including Roman himself) discussing the potential match.

Reigns versus The Rock has long been rumoured as the plan for next year's WrestleMania, which takes place in Los Angeles. At this point, it seemingly all hinges on Johnson's schedule and desire to do it.

The Rock's last match was a loss to John Cena in the main event of 2013's WrestleMania 29. During the contest, Johnson suffered numerous injuries that caused shooting delays on films he was due to work on.
