Love them or hate them, you can’t deny that Control Your Narrative have the wrestling world talking, with the ‘unique’ indie promotion recently revealing its sacred set of rules that must be adhered to.

The Fight Club style list has been mocked by many for its contradictory nature, while creating discussions about modern wrestling tropes due to its ‘no super kicks, no tope suicidas, no Canadian destroyers’ rule, with the latter getting the attention of AEW’s Young Bucks who referenced the rules with one of their customary Twitter bio changes:

“Superkicks, Canadians, Tope Suicidas & even that thing where you run away from opponent in corner & do that dumb slide thing, all welcome.”

The Bucks are arguably the poster-boys of the modern style that has drawn criticism from some for being over reliant on superkicks and big spots over storytelling and selling, but there is room for everything in wrestling, even whatever Control Your Narrative is pushing.

As for Control Your Narrative, it’s unclear what will happen if any wrestler actually breaks one of its hallowed rules.
