Toni Storm has drawn the ire of some citizens of the United Kingdom ahead of All Elite Wrestling's UK debut next week.
AEW are set to hold All In on Sunday, August 27 at London's Wembley Stadium and Storm conducted an in-character interview with the Daily Star ahead of the pay-per-view, noting that she is planning to renounce her British citizenship at All In.
"I just wish Wembley Stadium could be at a different place because I lived in England for a really long time. The only reason I'd be excited about seeing all those fans again is I get to rub it in their faces how successful I am. The only thing motivating is my excitement to really show off just how great I have become and denounce my British citizenship at Wembley Stadium I can't think of a better place," Storm said.
Storm previously lived in the United Kingdom, including five years in Liverpool with her grandmother.
Despite her comments being in-character, Storm received plenty of angry responses from Daily Star readers, including one that told her to "not come crawling back to use the NHS."
"Great news, just so long as she does not come crawling back to use the NHS with its free Medicare, which in the US costs an arm and a leg, oh and I have never heard of her anyway, sounds like a publicity stunt," one reader commented.
Another user, meanwhile, wrote: "This is the time when people need to stand up and say look what you are doing to Britain and not running away, the countries full of people who wouldn't stand up and just run away usually leaving there families behind to suffer."
A third told Storm to "not let the door hit you in the caboose on your way out AFTER you pay all your taxes!"
Storm will be in action at All In when she challenges Hikaru Shida for the AEW Women's World Championship in a Four-Way. The other two participants are Britt Baker and Storm's Outcasts faction-mate Saraya.
