Triple H: There Is No Ceiling For Eli Drake in WWE NXT

"I’ve been a fan of his since he was here the first time."

Triple H is looking forward to seeing how far Eli Drake can go in WWE after his return to the company was confirmed.

Drake, now going under the name LA Knight, re-debuted for the company on the NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day Pre-Show, just hours after his signing with WWE was confirmed.

The former IMPACT World champion had a run with NXT in 2013, which was ultimately unsuccessful, something that Triple H admitted was down to faults on both sides.

However, the NXT Executive Producer is excited to have Drake back on the black-and-gold brand, saying he has always been a fan of the 38-year-old's work.

Speaking on his post-NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day media call, Triple H said: "I don’t think that there’s a ceiling on anybody when they walk in the door. I kind of re-evaluate or evaluate everybody as they’re walking in the door, and my hope is that all of them have the potential at one point in time to garner whatever they need to become as big of a performer as they can be here.

"I’ve been a fan of his since he was here the first time, and there’s a lot of reasons, on his side and our side, as to why that didn’t work out that time. But I was a fan of his then, I was a fan of his work and his promo skills and everything else as he went along his journey, and I’ve always thought, when the time was right, he’d be great here.

"And the time was right. And phone calls were made and interest was on both sides, and it just went from there, and it was smooth and easy. He wants to be in a place where he can have the biggest platform in the world. That’s here, and I want to give it to him. So we’re gonna run with it and see where we can go, and there is no ceiling."
