Trish Stratus Not Ruling Out Returning To The Ring Again

Trish Stratus isn't retiring just yet

Following a loss to Becky Lynch in a brutal steel cage match at the Payback premium live event, Trish Stratus has not been seen on WWE programming. In the direct aftermath of the defeat, she was taken out by former protégé Zoey Stark too. For all intents and purposes, it looked as though Stratus’ run in WWE had perhaps come to an end.

However, when speaking to Chris Van Vliet in an interview at the Iron Claw premiere, she didn’t close the door on a WWE comeback and even teased that she wants to become WWE Women’s Champion once again.

"When I embarked on the journey, I came back for WrestleMania, 'Let's do this little program.' Suddenly, heel Trish had to come alive. Then, it just kept going and going. I got to do things I didn't get to do, right? Ladder Match, Saudi Arabia, Cage Match. To be able to dip my toes into the current landscape and check boxes that I wasn't able to check back in the day was pretty amazing. Yeah, I mean, I could become an eight-time champ. That sounds good to me. Why not?"

Stratus' most recent run stretched from WrestleMania in April to Payback in September, competing in 10 matches overall.
