Universal Title Match Set For WWE WrestleMania 37 (PPV SPOILERS)

If symbolism is to be believed

It looks like we can say with certainty that one of the top WrestleMania 37 matches is official, based on an occurrence at Sunday night's Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.

After Roman Reigns retained his Universal title over Daniel Bryan in a very brief match, Edge hit the ring and speared the champion. The 2021 men's Royal Rumble winner then pointed up at the WrestleMania 37 sign to make his intentions clear.

The match will mark Edge's first World title match of any sort since 2011. If the match with Reigns takes place on the Sunday night portion of WrestleMania 37, it will come ten years to the day (April 11) that he abdicated the World Heavyweight title upon announcing his retirement.

Reigns' victory over Bryan was an immediate follow-up to Bryan winning a number one contender's Elimination Chamber bout. Bryan had wrestled the entire length of the 34 minute match, last eliminating Jey Uso to earn the championship match.

Reigns then descended upon an exhausted Bryan, beating him mercilessly until the referee stopped the match whilst Reigns had a guillotine applied. Said title match didn't even go two minutes.
