While Kris Statlander and Stokely Hathaway had been a popular pairing amongst All Elite Wrestling fans, the two talents suddenly stopped working together last week.

Hathaway was shown on the October 2 edition of Dynamite scouting Private Party, while Kris Statlander worked as a babyface on Saturday's AEW Collision before she was taken out by Mercedes Moné and Kamille.

Sean Ross Sapp noted in a Fightful Select Q&A that he was told Statlander and Hathaway were split as "it wasn’t an option to continue forward with that story."

"I had a lot of people asking why this happened and saying it didn't make sense. I was just told it wasn't an option to continue forward with that story. Statlander hadn't wrestled in about a month since All Out. We were told she had been dealing with a minor injury but she's cleared and good to go now," Sean Ross Sapp said.

Why AEW were unable to continue with the Hathaway-Statlander pairing is currently unknown.
