Vince McMahon was reportedly 'the loudest and angriest' that the WWE creative team had ever seen him as Monday Night Raw underwent multiple rewrites ahead of this week's show.

WWE had previously advertised a number of matches for the August 30 episode of Raw - including Sheamus vs. Bobby Lashley and The Miz vs. John Morrison - with none of the scheduled bouts actually taking place on the show.

In an update from PWInsider, Monday 30 August was one of the longest days in a very long time for the WWE creative team as they contended with McMahon's unhappiness at the script for Raw.

The report indicates that the WWE Chairman was 'extremely unhappy' with the original plan for this week's Raw, ripping up the script and demanding multiple edits, before then ripping those up as well.

McMahon then told his creative team to come up with new ideas for the show, some of which were good and some of which were not so good. The WWE owner rejected all of them, however, before coming up with the plan for the show himself and decreeing it to the writers.

It is said that, until only a couple of hours before Raw went live, there was no official direction in place for the program.
