Von Wagner Abandoned On WWE NXT

In the words of R.E.M., everybody hurts, sometimes and Von Wagner was left hurting following the Tuesday, April 11 episode of NXT. 

Mr Stone issued an ultimatum to Wagner last week, telling him that he had to defeat Ilja Dragunov on the April 11 edition of NXT otherwise he would abandon his client. Wagner put up a valiant effort but Dragunov ultimately picked up the win after three minutes with the Torpedo Moscow. 

Wagner didn't want his manager to go after the loss but Mr Stone berated the second-generation talent before abandoning him inside the WWE Performance Center. 

The split between Stone and Wagner came after a long losing streak for the in-ring talent and he hasn't won on WWE's Tuesday night show since a victory over Malik Blade in November 2022. Wagner has been defeated by the likes of Tyler Bate, Wes Lee, Dijak, Tony D'Angelo, and Odyssey Jones since then. 

Wagner has been a featured performer on NXT since the 2.0 rebrand back in September 2021. If he is set for a main roster call-up in the near future is unknown.
