WALTER Match Added To WWE NXT

WALTER in action

WALTER's first NXT singles match of 2022 has been revealed.

It was announced on Monday that The Ring General will go one-on-one with former NXT Cruiserweight Champion Roderick Strong.

The match came about following a backstage confrontation between WALTER and Malcolm Bivens, the manager of Diamond Mine.

Bivens was being interviewed about The Creed Brothers' chances in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, during which he proclaimed Brutus and Julius would win the tournament and then the NXT Tag Team Title as no one is worried about Imperium. WALTER took exception to Bivens' words and shoved him against a locker before Strong appeared and ordered the former NXT United Kingdom Champion to put the manager down.

WALTER obliged and after a staredown, their match was set for Tuesday.

The Ring General has spent much of his WWE run in NXT UK but he left the brand last week following his farewell match. He returned to NXT at New Year's Evil on January 4, teaming with Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner against Riddle and MSK.

Also set for Tuesday's NXT is Tony D'Angelo's memorial service for Pete Dunne and the start of the Men's Dusty Classic.
