Why Fans Were At The WWE Royal Rumble Press Conference

WWE fans popped up at the post-show press conference

No matter where the events take place or what time of year they are, WWE pay-per-views/premium live events often feature a similar group of fans, with one of the most famous being "Green Shirt Guy", AKA Superfan Smilez, who can always be seen sitting in the front row facing the hard cam side, often directly facing the centre of the ring.

Superfan Smilez and others weren't just seen throughout the Royal Rumble, though, as they suddenly popped up at the back of the room for the post-Royal Rumble press conference with Bayley, Cody Rhodes, and WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H. Some began to question whether they had become accredited members of the media to gain access but fans at the presser were reportedly there as part of their ticket packages for the Royal Rumble, according to Fightful Select

The Royal Rumble presser will likely go down as one of the most infamous in WWE history, primarily because Triple H admitted he hadn't read the sex trafficking lawsuit filed against Vince McMahon. Then the WWE Chief Content Officer claimed it had been an "amazing week" for the company due to the deal with Netflix and The Rock's appointment to the TKO Board of Directors.
