Why Vince McMahon Didn't Like Christian Cage

Christian Cage found a fair level of success throughout his WWE career, becoming a two-time World Heavyweight Champion at the peak of his singles run with the company, in addition to winning the ECW, Intercontinental, European, Hardcore, and Tag Team Championships. However, Vince McMahon was never the biggest fan of Christian Cage. 

WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross spoke on his Grilling JR podcast and revealed the reason as to why McMahon never took a liking to the Christian Cage. 

"I thought it was kind of absurd because Christian deserved more time. He could help us, he could work with these guys that were less talented than him and make them look good. I think Vince's issue with Christian was Christian's physique, he's not a big guy, you know? He's always in great shape. but he's not a big guy, and Vince has these hard-ons for big guys, big teams more often than not."

Ross confirmed that McMahon did at one stage want a blue dot edited over Cage’s face any time he was on-screen, though this did not end up happening. Cage recently tried to trademark the term 'Captain Charisma’, but was blocked by WWE.
