WWE Bringing Back King Of The Ring For Saudi Arabia PLE

King of the Ring set to return for upcoming WWE Saudi Arabia PLE

The King of the Ring and Queen of the Ring tournaments are set to return with WWE set to air the King & Queen of the Ring ‘premium live event’ from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The show was announced during WWE WrestleMania XL Night Two, with Jeddah set to also host the go-home episode of WWE SmackDown before the event. The shows will run May 24 and May 25.

This will be the first King of the Ring tournament since Xavier Woods’ won the 2021 edition, and whist this will technically be the first ever Queen of the Ring Tournament, with a previous Queen’s Crown Tournament did run in 2021, Zelina Vega winning the inaugural edition.

A King & Queen of the Ring Saudi Arabia PLE was supposed to take place in 2023 but WWE ultimately changed plans, instead reviving the Night of Champions format for the May 27 2023 show.

This will also be the first stand-alone King of the Ring themed PLE since 2002, with Brock Lesnar winning the tournament that year. WWE subsequently intermittently held TV and WWE Network only King of the Ring tournaments.
