WWE Confirms Cora Jade ACL Tear, Could Miss A Year Of Action

WWE have confirmed Cora Jade will be out for a long time with ACL tear

After it was reported over the weekend that Cora Jade seemingly picked up an injury during a live event clash with NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria at the Dade City Armory in Florida, WWE have provided their own concrete update which confirms the unfortunate reports that were being released regarding the young name’s condition.

On last night’s episode of NXT, the announce team revealed the news that Jade had suffered from an ACL tear during the house show, and in their words she would be out of action for close to a year. The usual timeline for these injuries sits anywhere between six and nine months, so it isn’t known whether WWE is exaggerating her return date or if the injury is more serious than first believed.

Jade only recently returned to NXT programming at the Deadline premium live event, targeting Lyra Valkyria and setting her sights firmly on the NXT Women’s Championship. With her now out of the picture, Roxanne Perez was determined as the next number one contender for the gold after winning a battle royal on NXT.
