WWE Creative Not Told Of Any CM Punk Return Plans

WWE's creative team have not been told about any potential CM Punk plans.

If CM Punk is about to return to WWE, the company's creative department don't know about it.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported:

"Those in creative have not been told of anything involving him and those who would normally be in-the-know about these things, including on the big surprises like Cody Rhodes stuff before anyone else, don't know anything. That doesn't mean he's not coming, just the back stories regarding his coming aren't accurate".

Meltzer went on to add that it's still a 'no' with regards to The 'Straight-Edge Superstar' coming in, but that doesn't mean the situation can't change depending on variables. A recent report also shot down the idea that Punk was about to meet with WWE board members.

Aside from WWE, the 'Second City Saint' has options in wrestling, with both TNA and the NWA openly expressing interest in securing his services. The former WWE Champion supposedly turned down the opportunity to make an appearance at IMPACT Bound for Glory.
