Dominik Mysterio has undergone a name change within WWE.

The Judgment Day member was previously listed as "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio on WWE.com but WWE have changed the former NXT North American Champion's name to just Dominik Mysterio. Why WWE have decided to drop Mysterio's "Dirty" nickname is unknown but it appears to be a company-wide edict as 'Freakin' has also been dropped from Seth Rollins' in-ring name on WWE.com.

There have also been claims that WWE have scrapped "Big" from Bronson Reed's in-ring name but Wayback Machine reveals that Reed was not listed with the "Big" moniker on WWE.com, despite using the nickname on the company's televised programming.

Dominik Mysterio received the 'Dirty' nickname in the Summer of 2023, playing off the storyline time he spent in prison in late 2022 during the feud with his father Rey Mysterio.

Vince McMahon was involved with WWE creative when Dominik was given the official nickname. The former WWE CEO is no longer involved with the running of WWE, although he continues to own 4.7 per cent of TKO Group Holdings.
