WWE Interested In Malakai Black

WWE are interested in another talent from All Elite Wrestling.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE want Malakai Black to return to the organisation. Word of WWE's interest comes after reports claimed Black's contract with AEW expires in early 2025 and Tony Khan's promotion are in the process of trying to re-sign Black. Khan previously claimed in the Summer of 2022 that Black had almost five years left on his AEW contract. 

Black reportedly tried to give notice to AEW in 2022 when Triple H first took over WWE creative and tried to bring back a handful of former talents that had been released, including wrestlers under contract with AEW, which led to All Elite Wrestling sending a cease-and-desist later to WWE. Tony Khan stated in August 2024 that he believes WWE contract tampering is still happening with AEW talents. 

Malakai Black's wife Zelina Vega is already signed to WWE and is part of the LWO stable. Black has been a part of AEW since 2021 and he is a part of the House of Black faction with Brody King, Julia Hart, and Buddy Matthews.

Other AEW talents that WWE are interested in signing include Daniel Garcia and Ricky Starks.
