WWE NXT Talent Returns From Injury

A WWE NXT talent is back in action

A WWE NXT wrestler returned from injury over the weekend.

The developmental brand held a house show in Dade City, Florida on Friday, March 10 and the event featured the return of JD McDonagh. The former Cruiserweight Champion had been out of action in recent weeks and he returned to defeat Dante Chen.

McDonagh had been on the shelf since suffering a detached retina in his right eye on the February 7 edition of NXT. Ilja Dragunov returned to NXT on that show and cost McDonagh a win against Carmelo Hayes. Dragunov then attacked McDonagh following the match, causing the injury

The Irish Ace estimated he would be out of action for 10-14 days but he ended up spending one month on the sidelines before his return over the weekend. When McDonagh will return to NXT TV has not been confirmed but he will likely restart his feud with Ilja Dragunov. The two competitors have had issues since 2021 and Dragunov caused McDonagh to head to NXT after defeating him in a Loser Leaves NXT UK Match for the NXT UK Title in May 2022.

Other matches at the March 10 house show included Tiffany Stratton vs. Lola Vice, Chase U vs. Damon Kemp and Tavion Heights, and a Four-Way for the NXT Women's Tag Team Titles in the main event.
